Underground River, Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park
The Underground River is a UNESCO heritage site located a couple of hours from Puerto Princesa. One of the 7 Wonders of Nature the Underground River is the most visited tourist destination in Palawan, and one of the most-visited in the Philippines.
A short 15-minute boat ride from Sabang will see you arrive on a gorgeous beach surrounded by lush greenery and limestone cliffs. The park is like a walk-in zoo where local animals (including big monitor lizards) are free to roam around.
Once you enter the narrow cave entrance, you will experience one of the most amazing places on earth. The tour extends through the first 1.5 kilometres of the cave and takes about 45 minutes to complete. The cave goes a further six kilometres, but this is unfortunately off-limits.
Island Hopping, Honda Bay
Another favourite activity in Puerto Princesa is island hopping. The renowned Honda bay, just 30 minutes from the city, offers hop-on-hop-off tours where you can visit up to four islands in one trip. You can relax on some of the most stunning beaches in the world, as well as snorkelling in the pristine waters.
Inflatable Park, Kamia Bay
Kamia Bay resort in Palawan is Home to the largest water adventure park in Asia. The new attraction, just an hour from Puerto Princesa city, features a massive inflatable trampoline park that offers a range of floating obstacles just off the beach of Kamia Bay, Binunsalian.
Jet Ski Tours, Kamia Bay
While you are in Kamia Bay, you can also rent out jet skis to explore the waters around the resort. It’s a very exciting way to see the area and can hit high speeds, so is perfect for thrill seekers.
Firefly Watching, Iwahig River
One of the most popular experiences in Puerto Princesa and one you will never forget is a firefly watching tour on the Iwahig River. It’s a unique experience that will have you floating on the river in a paddle boat through the peaceful mangroves. When travelling along the river, you will witness the awesomeness of the fireflies lighting up the mangroves like Christmas lights.
