Luxury and enchantment at Likuliku Resort

January 4, 2017

Welcome to Fiji’s exclusive luxury escape and private enchanted sanctuary for couples. Likuliku Lagoon Resort is a haven of understated indulgence for adults only and is the first and only resort in Fiji with over water bures.

Designed with Fijian cultural integrity in mind, traditional designs and architecture, and embraced by the renowned warmth of the Fijian people, it truly is both a distinctive and exceptional place.

Looking at the resort from the ocean, it seems like somehow a prehistoric village had survived a millennia. Likuliku Lagoon Resort represents the fruitfulness of an ancient culture combined perfectly with vibrant touches of present-day existence.

The Resort itself features a magnificent Fijian canoe house designed building with hand-woven thatch and an exotic mix of natural materials and modern elements.

Floating above the vivacious fringing reef and marine sanctuary, the above water bures feature traditional architecture and materials using natural elements exclusive to the region.  The detail in the woodwork, the “magi magi” designs, and the richness of the fabrics showcase how extremely well-designed the resort truly is.

You will make the most of your own private deck or bask in your discrete bathing rotunda with Lagoon views from your grand bathtub. While you relax here gazing down on the living aquarium beneath, the resort’s private chef brings you a daily canapé plate and a glass of champagne.

If you can bear to leave the perfection of these amazing bures, hundreds of activities in the surrounding areas await. From snorkelling to surfing at some of the world’s best breaks (including the world famous Cloudbreak), stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, sunset cruises, hiking trails, island hopping tours, Jet Ski Safaris, beach picnics, parasailing, water skiing and wake boarding are all within a short distance from the resort. And why not venture a little deeper into adventure, and learn to scuba dive? The resort offers professional dive courses from beginners to advanced divers. For the already certified divers, there is so much choice, with 44 dive sites in the Mamanuca Islands alone.

The resort is quite exclusive, and only has ten over water bures, so booking in advance is imperative, especially in peak seasons.
