From your starting point at Chicago Airport, you’ll begin with a stay in the city to explore and take in everything from Millennium Park to the Magnificent Mile, before setting off on your journey across the world’s most famous highway. Set off along Route 66, the stunning road that has everything – stopping in Springfield, IL; then on to Missouri, the ‘birthplace’ of Route 66 - another Springfield! Follow the high towards Oklahoma, via Kansas where you can see Catoosa and explore the local Gilcrease Museum to the Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum; among other things.
Then it’s on your way to Amarillo and along the way, you’ll visit the sights and experience the sounds of the land before you head across the border into Texas. Continuing your drive, you’ll visit Cadillac Ranch in Albuquerque – the place of dreams!; and on to Rio Puerco Valley where you can see Inscription Rock, a stunning cliff-face alongside the El Morro National Monument where you can observe several stunning Native American petroglyphs. The fun doesn’t end yet and you’ll continue on to Gallup and the Grand Canyon for an unforgettable sightseeing opportunity. From the Canyon to Las Vegas for a night out on the strip or into the Death Valley; through the Calico Ghost Town, the San Bernardino Mountains and the Santa Monica Boulevard; before you reach your final stop on the tour, Los Angeles.
