Angkor Wat - a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world.
Angkor Thom - the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. It was established in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII.
Beng Mealea - a temple in the Angkor Wat period located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia.
Rolous Group - composed by three major temples: Bakong, Lolei, and Preah Ko, along with tiny Prasat Prei Monti. It was once the seat of Hariharalaya, first capital of Khmer Empire, north of Tonlé Sap.
Kbal Spean - an Angkorian era archaeological site on the southwest slopes of the Kulen Hills to the northeast of Angkor in Siem Reap District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Once there hike for about two hours to get to the “River of a Thousand Lingas.”
River of a Thousand Lingas - In ancient times, if water ran over lingas it was said to be holy water.
Banteay Srei - a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in the area of Angkor in Cambodia.
Tonle Sap Lake - the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, a biodiversity hotspot and was designated as a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
