From the Killing Fields, to hidden temples, to Sun bears and cleaning the beaches at Koh Rong Samloem; this is a tour that has a mixture of excitement, good deeds and adventure. You’ll begin your journey in the beautiful city of Phnom Penh, exploring the wonders of the past. From there, the tour takes you to Siem Reap where you’ll enjoy a plethora of activity – from cycling to temples and watching the sunrise and set; to going to the local art class and the circus. On to the majestic island of Koh Rong Samloem where you’ll have the chance to explore and relax on your own, along with assisting in a beach clean program and snorkeling the reef. This is a tour that has everything and will provide memories to last a lifetime.


Day 1  

Phnom Penh

You’ll be met at the airport by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel in air conditioned comfort.

Day 2  

City Tour with Tuol Sleng and Killing Fields


This morning you’ll visit the Royal Palace and have the opportunity to admire the stunning architecture and royal collection, before moving on to the National Museum. You’ll meet with a trained guide who will take you through the museum, providing you new-found knowledge about pre-Angkorean times. You’ll visit the White Building, built in 1963, and the Post Office – one of the oldest buildings of the French colonial era.


Lunch is at the Friends Café, opened to benefit at-risk street children, and in the afternoon you’ll visit Tuol Sleng Prison Museum. You’ll learn about the Khmer Rouge as you visit different displays in the museum and continue on to the Choeung Ek Memorial – one of the country’s many killing fields where a memorial stupa and shallow pits are a reminder of those thousands who were killed under the Pol Pot Regime. Listen to audio of survivor stories, accounts from guards and music on this thought-provoking journey into the horrors of the past.


Late afternoon you’ll return to your hotel to enjoy dinner at your leisure.

Day 3  

Phnom Penh: Culture and Culinary Experience


Today will begin with a trip to the markets with Chef Nara, who will take you to purchase the array of ingredients you’re going to need for your next adventure – a cooking class! You’ll spend the morning at the Feelgood Café to create 3 tasty traditional Cambodian dishes. And of course, you get to eat them for lunch! Enjoy!!

With a full stomach, you’ll spend time with one of the country’s largest non-profit organizations, with a primary focus on art and culture. You’ll be guided by expert teachers in traditional dancing – Apsara Dancing.  This is a 3 hour workshop that will help you gain more understanding of the local traditions and art forms. You’ll head riverside for dinner before returning to the National Museum for a Cambodian Living Arts traditional dance show – known to be the best in the country! Back to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4  

Phnom Tamao Wildlife Bear Care Tour


Enjoy a delicious breakfast before you are picked up and taken to the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre for your Bear Care Tour. This opportunity is once in a lifetime and gives you an up close and personal view of the world’s biggest Sun Bear sanctuary. You’ll experience the care taken for the 130 Sun and Moon bears in their care and you’ll also have the chance to go behind the scenes with the Free the Bears team at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre. These bears have been rescued from the illegal wildlife trade and it’s an amazing experience to get up so close.

Day 5  

Siem Reap: Arrival and Angkor Thom Sunset


Following breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Siem Reap, where you’ll be met by your guide and taken to your hotel.


Enjoy some lunch at your leisure, then in the afternoon you’ll be taken to Angkor Thom, the famous walled city, where you can watch the sunset over the Bayon temple’s magnificent smiling faces. Relax as the sun sets, before returning to town, or your hotel.

Day 6  

Siem Reap: Angkor Wat Sunrise and Art Class


Early rise this morning to go to Angkor Wat to watch the majestic sunrise – an amazing start to the day. Your guide will then take you through the grounds of the temple so you can learn about the history of the Khmer Empire. Back to the hotel mid-morning to relax through the middle of the day and enjoy some lunch.


In the afternoon, you will travel to Journeys Within Our Community's (JWOC's) free schools to participate and assist students in an art class. JWOC provides a broad range of free courses to students who wish to expand their knowledge, but lack the necessary funds to do so. JWOC's English program for children and adults encourages the involvement of volunteers whose native language is English. The class includes playing games, singing songs and helping little ones with their art. It’s a great afternoon for the whole family. You’ll also get to meet scholarship students.

Day 7  

Hidden Temples Cycling and Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus


Your guide will pick you up early morning and take you to the south gate of Angkor Thom to pick up your bicycle, before riding to the Angkor Thom East Gate for a walk along the wall – a rarely visited area which was once used for taking dead bodies to be cremated. There’s a beautiful gate with Bayon faces – and once again, it’s another off-the-beaten-track destination that will not be swarmed by tourists. From here you’ll travel hidden routes and pathways through the jungle to discover a plethora of hidden temples, scenery and wildlife; before enjoying lunch overlooking the royal bathing pool of SraSrang.


Opt to see more temples, or return to your hotel for an afternoon of leisure.


This evening, you are treated in the evening to the Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus, with VIP seats in the centre of the big top tent! Enjoy remarkable acrobatics and visual arts well into the evening with what is known as the country’s most inspiring projects.

Day 8  

Banteay Srei, Other Temples and Village Dining


In the morning, you'll your guide will take you to Banteay Srei, the meticulously sculptured monolith located around 30 kilometres outside of Angkor Wat. Following this, you'll travel back to the local temples, where you'll visit two of the most distinguished temples in the complex; Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm.


You’ll have lunch back at your hotel, or if you prefer – your guide can show you to some amazing local cafes or restaurants in town.


At 4pm, you’ll be taken to the beautiful Kompheim village, located just outside Siem Reap, where you can enjoy a short walk through the village with a local guide (make sure you bring or wear walking shoes). Delight with some sunset drinks and the Village House and relax with your own private dining experience. You’ll return to your hotel at about 9pm.

Day 9  

Siem Reap to Koh Rong Samloem


Today you’ll be met at the hotel for private airport transfer in time for your flight to Sihanoukville. There, you’ll board a speed boat to Koh Rong Samloem Island and spend the afternoon enjoying the island at your leisure.

Day 11  

Save Cambodia Marine Life

Following breakfast you’ll be met by private boat transfer to M’PaiBei Village where you’ll be taken to the Save Cambodia Marine Life dive center. You’ll learn the basics of the marine environment; collect your snorkel gear and take to the waters!


In the morning you’ll be part of the Snorkel Reef Clean at one of the reefs which has been adopted by this organization through PADI’s Diving Against Debris program. Return to the dive centre to assist in logging the debris, before taking a guided walk through M’PaiBei Village.


Lunch is eaten back at the dive center and you’ll have some free time to wander the beach, or go for a swim, before assisting in a beach clean. Bring your haul back to the center for safe disposal, then you’ll shower and change ready to go to the Sunset Bungalows restaurant. Watch the sun set over the water with a cocktail in hand then return to your hotel.

Day 12 - 13  

Day at Leisure


Two days on the island to explore, take part in some water activities, or simply relax with a cold drink.

Phnom Penh and Departure


Time to say goodbye to paradise and speedboat back to Sihanoukville. From there, you’ll drive to Phnom Penh airport for your flight home.
