CANADA

From east to west, north to south and everywhere in between, Canada offers you and your family breathtaking scenery, memorable characters and iconic landmarks. It doesn’t matter whether you go with a tour group, on your own or with the family, there’s so much to see and do.

British Columbia is Canada’s adventure playground with 25,000 kilometres of coastline and 997 provincial parks, and Vancouver offers beautiful beaches, 220 parks and 3 ski resorts. The tiny province of Nova Scotia, with its strong Celtic and Acadian heritage, has the highest tides, 7,600 kilometres of seacoast and 81 Heritage and Historical Sites.

Ontario is a province that offers a diverse range of experiences. Visit world-famous Niagara Falls and enjoy the culinary bounty in the wine country that surrounds it. Bordered on the south by four of five Great Lakes it is also a perfect destination for boating, fishing, camping and more. Toronto, the capital city of Ontario, is a vibrant, multi-cultural city that boasts the world-famous CN Tower, a national icon and one of the world’s tallest buildings. The magnificent Banff and Whistler resorts are only two of a dozen throughout Canada offering great skiing and snow-boarding during the winter months and dozens of touring opportunities in the warmer climates.

Touring Canada by train is one of the most elegant ways to see the country. Almost all of Canada's major cities are connected by railroad making it easy for you to get from one place to another and with its vast natural landscape Canada offers a wide-range of scenic drives, beginning in the west and working east.

It doesn’t matter where you are in Canada, a big drawcard is the weather that offers changing landscapes, temperatures, and climate during every season across the country. Though Canada in winter has its charm, summers peak travel period is in June, July and August. There’s a wide variety of accommodation available from hotels, motels, wellness spas and resorts to elegant Chateaus or the quirky Quebec Ice Hotel.

If you are travelling from Australia or New Zealand the most frequent flights run from Sydney to Los Angeles and then on to Canada. Airlines operating on these routes include Air Canada, Air New Zealand and Qantas. International visitors to Canada (not US citizens or US permanent residents) must carry a valid passport, if you are visiting from Australia, you do not require a visa to enter Canada.
