Day 3
Angkor Hidden Temples and Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus
Your guide will pick you up early morning and take you to a temple complex that is accessible via a hidden road – very secretive! At the end of the road, you’ll find a smaller temple that is rarely visited by tourists – a quiet escape from the bustle of the main tourist areas. Relax, explore and enjoy before taking a walk to the nearby Ta Keo Temple. Here you can climb to the top to enjoy astonishing views.
From Ta Keo, you’ll head to the Angkor Thom Gate for a walk along the wall – another rarely visited area. At the end of the wall, arrive at the East Gate which was once used for taking dead bodies to be cremated. There’s a beautiful gate with Bayon faces – and once again, it’s another off-the-beaten-track destination that will not be swarmed by tourists.
Enjoy lunch at your hotel or nearby, then take time out to relax or explore in the afternoon. This evening, you are treated in the evening to the Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus, with VIP seats in the centre of the big top tent! Enjoy remarkable acrobatics and visual arts well into the evening.

Artisan D'Angkor and Bambu Stage: 150 Years of Photography

Tonight, you’ll experience dinner like never before. Back in 1866, Scottish photographer John Thomson and the Frenchman Emille Giselle took the first images of Angkor Wat and of the royal family in the palace in Phnom Penh – and today, these photos are used to assemble a montage of images and short archival film clips that trace Cambodia's recent history.
